Lone Working (Personal Safety)
This half-day course supports participants in developing, maintaining or reviewing lone working (personal safety) procedures and practices in their work environment. This is achieved by highlighting personal and Organisational responsibilities, as detailed under relevant legislation, and by raising their awareness of the issues surrounding lone working including potential risks associated with their individual job role.
Course Aims
- Raise awareness of your own personal safety issues when working / travelling alone
- Develop effective working practices
- Recognise ways of dealing with potentially aggressive situations

- Establish employer / employee responsibility to personal safety
- Identify lone worker risks associated with the participant's particular job / role
- Review what their organisation is or could be doing to reduce potential risks

Travel & Overnight costs
Travel costs may apply for any booking over 80 miles charged at 45p per mile or actual costs of alternative methods of travel. Overnight costs are based on individual hotel bookings and reasonable subsistence costs dependent on location conditions, applicable at the time.
